This extension of the excursion departs from Puerto Blest. They travel 3 km by bus to Porto Alegre. From there, a modern boat is taken to navigate the Cold Lake. The particular green colour of its waters is due to tiny rock particles sprayed from the friction of the glacier with the walls of Cerro Tronador. Its imposing white summit stands out among the wooded landscape, view that can only be appreciated from the boat.
